Role: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Warsaw, Poland (on-site or hybrid by agreement)

Compensation: 5,000 PLN net per month (details to be confirmed during the recruitment process, depending on contract type and experience)

Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and improve reliable software products that deliver real value to users. In this role, you will take ownership of key technical areas, contribute to architecture and engineering standards, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teammates in Warsaw.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-ready software features and services
• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned initiatives, from technical planning through release and post-release improvements
• Write clean, maintainable code and create unit/integration tests to ensure quality and stability
• Participate in system design discussions and propose pragmatic, scalable solutions
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and help raise the quality bar across the team
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and non-production environments
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and other engineers to clarify requirements and estimate work accurately
• Improve engineering processes (CI/CD, observability, performance, documentation) and reduce technical debt over time
• Contribute to technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge sharing within the team

Must-Have Requirements
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go)
• Experience delivering and supporting production systems, including debugging and performance tuning
• Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and APIs (REST/HTTP)
• Experience with Git-based workflows and collaborative development practices (code reviews, branching strategies)
• Comfort working across the full development lifecycle (build, test, deploy, monitor)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teammates

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and data modeling
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Experience mentoring other engineers or leading small technical initiatives
