Role Title: Linkbuilding Specialist
Summary
We are looking for a Linkbuilding Specialist to strengthen our organic visibility by earning high-quality backlinks and building relationships with relevant publishers. In this role, you will plan and execute link acquisition campaigns, collaborate closely with SEO and content teammates, and use data to improve results over time.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute linkbuilding strategies aligned with SEO goals and target pages.
• Research, qualify, and prioritize outreach prospects (publishers, blogs, industry sites, partners).
• Conduct outreach via email and other channels to secure editorial backlinks, mentions, and placements.
• Build and maintain relationships with webmasters, editors, influencers, and partners to support ongoing placements.
• Coordinate with content and SEO teams to produce link-worthy assets (guides, data studies, tools, guest content).
• Monitor backlink profile health, including link quality, anchor text distribution, and potential risks.
• Track campaign performance (links earned, authority metrics, referral traffic, rankings impact) and report progress.
• Identify and address toxic or spam links; support disavow processes when appropriate.
• Maintain organized documentation of outreach, contacts, templates, and campaign notes in a CRM or spreadsheet.
• Stay current on search engine guidelines and best practices to ensure compliant, sustainable link acquisition.
Must-Have Requirements
• 1+ year of hands-on linkbuilding and/or SEO outreach experience (in-house or agency).
• Strong understanding of off-page SEO and how backlinks influence rankings and authority.
• Experience with prospecting and outreach workflows, including personalization and follow-ups.
• Comfort using SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, Majestic) to assess link opportunities and results.
• Solid written communication skills with a professional, respectful outreach style.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple campaigns at once.
• Ability to evaluate link quality and relevance (topic fit, traffic potential, editorial standards).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience running digital PR or content-led link acquisition campaigns (data-led stories, resource promotion).
• Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics for measuring SEO impact.
• Basic understanding of on-page SEO and technical SEO fundamentals.
• Experience with outreach tools and CRMs (e.g., BuzzStream, Pitchbox, Mailshake) and spreadsheet automation.
• Copywriting or editing skills for guest content and editorial collaboration.
• Experience in a specific industry (SaaS, eCommerce, fintech, healthcare, etc.).

• Consistent delivery of high-quality, relevant backlinks that support priority pages and topics.
• Strong outreach performance (reply rates, placement rates) through thoughtful prospecting and personalization.
• Clear reporting that connects link acquisition to measurable SEO outcomes over time.
